      FAQ

      • I have installed the adapter, but the computer cannot find the product I connected.
Try disconnecting the adapter from the computer, connecting the desired device to the adapter and reconnecting the cable. Also remember to switch the connected device on.
      • I would like to connect my GPS device to my computer via cable. Is this possible?
We have experienced some problems with GPS devices, so check the communication specifications with the manufacturer of the device.
      • I have installed the driver in Windows Vista, but can't find the connected device.
Uninstall the driver. Download the driver from this website and save it on your desktop. Right click, select properties, then the compatibility tab and select Windows XP Compatible. Re-install the driver.
      • Are there drivers for MAC OS and Linux?
Drivers can be obtained directly from the chipset manufacturer via the following link: http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?id=31 (not supported by Sandberg).
      • Why did my computer install the driver itself when I connected the adapter to my USB port?
Check the rear label on your adapter. If the model is 133-08C, you have the latest hardware version that does not need a separate driver installation.
      • Why can't I get my adapter to work with Windows 8?
Earlier variations marked "133-08" and "133-08B" are not supported by Windows 8 and the software cannot be updated. Only the model labelled "133-08C", on sale since February 2013, supports Windows 8. The driver is installed automatically by Windows when connected.
      • Why can't I install the adapter using my Windows 8.1?
The adapter is automatically installed in Windows 8.0, while a separate driver installation is required for Windows 8.1. You can download the driver on this page.
      • Why don't you have a driver for Windows 10?
There is no need to install a separate driver for Windows 10. It installs automatically when it is connected.
