Sandberg launches USB 3.0 cloner on the market

P R E S S   R E L E A S E

Following the success of the Sandberg Hard Disk Cloner, which was launched on the market at the end of 2010, Sandberg has now launched a USB 3.0-based solution.

Basically, the device can do the same, that is take everything from one hard disk and copy it to a new, larger one. A fantastic piece of kit if you want to upgrade your computer’s hard disk without having to re-install everything.

The Cloner copies the boot sector and everything else, whatever operating system you are using. The raw sector data is transferred. Cloning can also take place without a computer connection.

You can experience the benefit of USB 3.0 if you connect to a computer that supports USB 3.0. Then you will be able to read and write data from a hard disk or disks inserted in the Cloner at very high speed, as with one or more external hard disks. The Cloner is of course backwards compatible with earlier USB standards and correspondingly lower speeds.

Hard disks can be inserted in and removed from the cloner without switching the computer on and off. An incredibly flexible solution. All SATA hard disks of any capacity, whether 2.5" or 3.5" are supported.
