What benefits does a gadget like this have in store for a computer user? Sandberg has achieved huge success with the previous version of its Sandberg Sata Docking Station. That has now been discontinued in favour of this new product, which utilises the latest USB technology: USB 3.0 SuperSpeed. With a docking station on your computer, you can take advantage of the world’s simplest method for connecting spare hard disks. Simply insert the hard disk into the top of the product and you can access it on your computer within a few seconds. It’s also possible to swap hard disks while the computer is switched on. This allows for some very flexible options for troubleshooting, data copying and backups. If your computer has a USB 3.0 port you can experience blistering transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbit/s. The Docking Station supports both 2.5” and 3.5” hard disks. The device appears on screen as an external hard disk and does not require any additional installation. It is a true plug and play device.
