“It really gets on my nerves when my mobile dies on me, when it runs out of power I mean. And it always happens at the most inconvenient times! I’ve suffered this miserable experience more than once now where my day has been completely ruined because my mobile ran out of power. But that’s about to be a thing of the past!”. So says Anders Partida Petersen, Product Manager at Sandberg A/S.
That’s because he is someone who can do something about it. And that’s just what he did! He’s the man behind the new Sandberg PowerBanks. A PowerBank is an extra battery you can carry in your pocket. A backup you can carry around with you at all times so that your mobile phone, digital camera, MP3 player, iPad, PSP or whatever else you always have on you can be recharged.
A PowerBank is charged in the same way as a mobile, i.e. with a USB cable connected to a computer, mains socket, cigarette lighter or other USB power source. Then your PowerBank becomes a power source for all your other mobile devices.
The larger version, PowerBank 8000, is powerful enough to recharge an iPad twice or smaller mobile devices several times. It even has two outputs so several devices can be charged simultaneously. The PowerBank 3000 holds at least two recharges for virtually every type of mobile and camera.
Both PowerBanks supply enough power so that most mobile devices can used whilst being charged.
Sandberg PowerBanks have an attractive, compact and rounded design, making them easy and comfortable to carry around with you. At the push of a button you can easily see how much power the battery has left. The pack includes a small set of adapters for various mobiles and other devices.
Sales Director Erling Hoff Petersen says this of the new PowerBanks:
“These are some really fantastic gadgets. Everyone can make use of a PowerBank. As consumers, we increasingly expect ourselves and our fellow human beings to always be contactable and online. And all that requires is enough power. With the advent of PowerBank, the excuse that your mobile ran out of power will no longer be a valid one. From a purely personal point of view, I’m really pleased about PowerBanks for digital cameras as you often use a camera in places where there is no mains power nearby.”
