Mobile phone manufacturers go to great lengths to incorporate speakers into their phones. They can also be good enough for a quick hands-free call. But when a teenager fires up their favourite music track through the tiny speaker built into a flat mobile phone, you are reminded of the insufferable music you have to put up with when waiting at the doctor’s or garage. Not something enjoyable in any case. Acknowledging that the days of the stereo system in the children’s bedroom are a thing of the past and that nowadays everyone wants mobility, Sandberg has launched an ultra-portable combination of a speaker, amplifier, rechargeable battery, remote control and wireless Bluetooth connection. The whole thing is neatly packaged in an elegant and solid aluminium case, which teenagers and adults alike can take with them anywhere. So there was a real need for something completely new!” And so the Sandberg Pocket Bluetooth Speaker was born. A sleek aluminium case that conceals an amplified speaker, which can be charged for up to 8 hours’ use.
