Sandberg is now introducing a universal power supply which is compatible with most laptops. With a built-in USB port, the same power supply can also be used to charge PDAs and mobile telephones for example without having to connect them to a computer that's switched on.
The Sandberg Laptop AC Adapter has an output of up to 90 Watt. Not only is it powerful - but it's also being put on the market at a strong price.
The new universal solution also takes care of safety issues with a built-in overload fuse and built-in short circuit fuse. The power supply also has a five-year warranty and a free hotline service.
Product Manager Anders Petersen says about the new product: "We are sure that we have created a bestseller. The market is full of laptop computers. Buying a new, original power supply is very expensive and then it can only be used with one machine. Our solution can be used with the majority of laptops. That it can also be used to charge USB devices is just a huge bonus. This is the extra power supply that's always kept by the sofa in the living room, in your laptop bag or in your home office where you may also need power for your computer. Or it's the replacement for the original in case it breaks or is lost."
The Product Manager explains about the USB port: "More and more devices from PlayStation 3 controllers to digital cameras and mobile telephones can be charged via USB. People just leave their computers or consoles switched on overnight to charge these small portable devices. This puts completely unnecessary pressure on the environment. Our new AC Adapter utilises more than 80% of electricity during charging. In comparison, if you charge the same device using a computer that is switched on and is not being used for anything else only 3-5% of electricity is utilised. That's a significant difference!"
